My Retro Chair...

Welcome to my day in the

I'm so happy to be sharing my block with ya'll today!
I don't know what it is about chairs,
but I just love them!
...I've made a few
quilts that feature chairs!...
so, when I was invited to submit
a block to Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks,
I new it would be a chair!
I usually draw on my computer,
but sometimes it's just easier to sketch it out
and scan the image in.
This is the little sketch I started with...
...a half chair!
It's easier to mirror the
half to create a symmetrical drawing.

Of course, I had to make a quilt using my block, lol!
sorry about the bad picture...

It's part of the this issue's Designer's Gallery!

You know how much I LOVE quilting
and designed the quilt with large open areas
Isn't this flower just perfect?

Here's a close up of the chair block...
Check out the clock...
just had to add a little bit of bling! he he!

Let's go quilting...

Oooo, I've got to show you these cute little
"Let's Go Quilting Kits" I made for some of my quilting friends!
They hold all those little tools you must have when you
go to a guild meeting, class,
or just bring anywhere with a project!
I used this pattern by Thankfully Sew
and chose fabrics to match their favorite things....
I love how they turned out!

Of course, I had to test the pattern first, lol!
So I made this one for moi!!!

then this for my modern quilter...

New Baby!

So excited to have a new baby girl in the family!
and I'm making this cute little quilt for her!
Using a Moda Bakeshop pattern
"Neighborhood Charm" by Debbie
of Esch House Quilts and soft pink fabrics... Yum!
Not sure if I should appliqué her full name
or just a large letter A...
What do you think?

this cute little design by Mdm. Samm.
Isn't she adorable?
I haven't decided what to make
with her...
thinking about a little pillow,
or maybe a pretty frame?...
Not sure yet,
what do you think?
Thanks Mdm. Samm for the wonderful design.

I also have two other projects
