XOXO...

It's my day in the fun Hugs & Kisses Hop!
First I want to thank our
great hostesses for organizing this hop:
and Mdm Samm of Sew We Quilt,
and all the participants that are making this
such an inspiring event.
These are the ladies sharing their Hugs & Kisses today:

Wednesday February 13th

°Ü°
I only had time for these quick projects,
and really enjoyed working on this little
Mini Valentine using Marjorie's
Candy Hearts embroidery designs
that work with the Accuquilt GO! Hearts 2" die.

I also wanted a Valentine's mug rug,
so decided on a little quick project
by embroidering this fun design
from Embroidery Library

Would you like to make this little mug rug?
I made a little kit with the
embroidered "latte"
and 5 Fat Quarters to giveaway Ü
To enter, just leave me a sweet comment
and tell me what size and type of quilts
you enjoy making!
I'll choose a winner next Monday, 2.18.2013

Thank you so much for visiting today!

  2. Both of your projects are fantastic! I love the polka dot binding and the use of white for the background. It really makes the quilting show up really nice.

I like to make projects lap size or smaller ... mug rugs, potholders, coasters, table toppers/runners, totes, purses, coin purses, etc.

  3. Lately I have been working on bed sized quilts, but my favorite size is a potholder, and I am loving mug rugs! That is big enough to really test a new technique, but small enough to finish. Loved your mug rug and your hearts mini quilt!

  4. Both of your Hugs & Kisses are wonderful! I tend to keep my projects small, table topper size. Just discovered mug rugs and I am in love! Fantastic giveaway. jbechosend at sbcglobal dot net

  17. Thank you for the opportunity. I love your designs and choice of quilting. As my blog name implies (Luz2Quilt), I have no particular favorite size or type of quilts...I love it all and can't do enough of it! (charity, art, wallhanging, bed, postcards, etc.) Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  18. cherry your pieces are great and I am always a fan of puns. I enjoy making all sizes of quilts mostly lap because they are easier to manage in my space. I am working more right now on learning ot make smaller quilts which supprisingly I have found difficult in the past because I want ot add all the fabrics into the project and then it just grows much larger than expected. This might explain why my first pp project was supposed ot be 45 x 50 (double throw) and turned out at 90 x 100 (super queen). I'm in the hop today as well and thanks for shouting out to the rest of us.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thank you for the chance, both pieces you created are wonderful. I am new to quilting but so far my favorite size is a large lap quilt. Although I m working on my first mug rug.

  24. Your projects are both so sweet! I really don't have a preferred size to make, just whatever strikes my fancy when I'm creating though with bed quilts I usually tend to have a go large or go home mental attitude.

    ReplyDelete
  25. As I have gotten order, I enjoy making mini quilts now. Beautiful and such great inspiration

So, now you know... don't tell anyone.
I do like making little projects because I do not get tired of doing the project before it is completed - which might be the foundation of the aforesaid affiction.

So far I have only made peiced lap size quilts but once I get the hang of free motion quilting I want to try something a little bigger and also try making an appliqued quilt.

  163. I love your projects. They are great inspirations. I tend to make larger quilts, usually queen size quilts. I'm trying to make smaller quilts. Right now I'm working on two baby quilts for twins - a great niece and great nephew. I'm down to binding and labels on each. They are from the same fabrics and the same pattern. The fabrics are just placed a little differently.

Thanks for taking time to blog and inspire me and, I'm sure, many, many others. You are very generous with your giveaway.
